Settings to Support Physical Health or Motor Control

MCMW-logo-May-2013To adjust your computer, mobile phone or tablet device to support your hearing, a good place to start is My Computer My Way –  an interactive web-based tool developed by AbilityNet that shows people how to adapt their computer using the built in accessibility settings. This may include:

  • Mouse Settings – such as the speed to move your mouse across the screen, and how quickly you have to press buttons to perform a ‘double click’
  • Keyboard Settings – such as ‘Sticky keys’ – lets you press buttons individually rather than two keyboard buttons simultaneously.
  • Voice controls

There is also information on the Apple website, for Macintosh computers. and the Microsoft website for Windows computers.
