The Conclusion

the_endIf you finish your piece of writing with a dedicated conclusion, the reader will finish the piece with a clearer idea of your topic than if the piece just ends abruptly.

The role of the conclusion is to sum up what you have said. You should not say anything completely new in the conclusion: new information belongs earlier in the piece.

The conclusion may include a brief summary of your main points, and maybe a very brief discussion of the wider implications or points for future study.
